A message for parents who remember
A letter from Chris P Tee
You might remember me. Children's party magician. Bristol area. Silly voice, big tricks, very enthusiastic about your child's name.
The child I performed for at that birthday party โ the one who went absolutely wide-eyed when I made something impossible happen โ is now, by my reckoning, somewhere between thirteen and seventeen years old.
And the UK government just told them they can't use Instagram anymore.
I've been building the alternative. Not because I knew the ban was coming โ though I had my suspicions. Because I've spent fifty years watching what happens to people when the room they're in is designed to take from them. I wanted to build a room designed to give.
I built it from my van. On my phone. With AI. In the gaps between gigs. I couldn't afford to wait for permission from anyone bigger than me โ so I didn't ask.
FeelFamous is a network of real interest-based communities โ rave culture, fishing, cameras, music, magic, motors, radio, cannabis, sailing and more โ each one built by people who actually care about that thing. The rules are designed by human beings, not algorithms. No feed trying to grab your child's attention. No data being sold. No dark patterns. Just rooms that feel like rooms.
Kids are anonymous. Structurally, by design. They cannot be identified. Adults who want to teach or share a skill use their real name โ that choice is the trust signal. The two never mix without a very deliberate door.
Your child gets a space that is genuinely theirs. Not a feed. A room. Built around what they actually care about.
"I've built the safe place for your kids. I've built the social media escape pods. Your kids don't need social media. They need to feel famous, baby."

A Villager membership โ ยฃ4.95 a month
Less than a cinema snack. More protection than any parental control you've ever set. Their own identity inside FeelFamous โ access to real communities, no adverts, no algorithm, no one mining their attention for profit. Their space. Actually theirs.
A SpicyLister stall โ included
Every Villager gets their own online stall. Old toys, gear, stuff they've grown out of โ listed properly, priced fairly, sold to real buyers. The first lesson in knowing your stuff has value.
Weekly Founder upgrade
Every week, one Villager earns full Founder access. They show the community what they did with it. The community votes honestly and kindly. Nobody performs for likes โ they show what they actually built.
Kudos โ kindness points
Kids earn Kudos by being genuinely helpful โ recommending the right community, voting honestly, contributing something real. Kudos spends in the ecosystem. Good behaviour is the currency.
SOS button โ always free, no login needed
The most vulnerable children can't pay. They don't get locked out. The SOS button requires nothing โ no account, no membership, no parent. It's there before anything else. It always will be.
Some parents will want their children in a safe space and love them. But some do not. Or they cannot afford to.
Those children are not locked out. Every paid Villager contributes to the free tier. The community funds the floor. A child with nothing can still browse, earn Kudos by being kind, and press the SOS button.
"They're the ones that everyone else is paying for to protect."
No comment sections. No reply threads. No pile-ons.
If your child disagrees with something, they make their own post. If they want to reference what someone said, they reference it โ but they can't drag that person into their reply. The friction is intentional. You can't ratio someone here. You can't quote-tweet someone into a pile-on.
Opinion is valued. Cruelty has nowhere to build.
We're building the under-16 Villager tier now. The children who join first will help shape what it becomes. That's not marketing โ that's how we actually work.
Drop me a message. No mailing list. No sales funnel. Just a conversation between two adults who both want the same thing for your kid.

We are making the invisible visible. The unthought of, thought of. The impossible, possible. And the more parts we build, the faster we can put them together.
